BOZA (Board of Zoning Appeals) consists of seven board members who meet upon request. BOZA reviews and decides upon variances requested by the public or by developers within Ware County. A variance is the relief of a setback requirement set forth in the Zoning Resolution. A setback is the required distance a building or structure must be from a property line or other stated boundary. BOZA also reviews and renders decisions upon administrative review appeals. An administrative review appeal is an appeal of the planning director’s interpretation of a requirement cited in the Ware County Zoning Resolution.

The board members are: Dennis Rollins, Ben McQuaig, Frances Blacknall, Mark Osburn, Jeffery Parker and Pam Taylor, with Post Four currently vacant.
